Volunteer

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul serves all persons in need - regardless of creed, opinion, color, caste, or origin. Those who volunteer with the Society of St. Vincent de Paul consider themselves especially blessed as the assistance they provide promotes human dignity and integrity. They do not simply provide a loaf of bread or a blanket to those in need; they also bring help to those who are discouraged, tenderness to the abused, and courage for those confronting hardship.


Children's Room Clerk

Title: Children's Room Clerk
Reports to: Visitation Center Supervisor
Location: Downtown Oakland
Starting Date: ASAP
Ending Date: Ongoing
Frequency: Flexible shifts
Duties:

Register mothers and their children in Children's Room. Distribute clothing, diapers & formula, bedding, hygiene bags and other items. Accept and separate donations of the same items.

Qualifications:

Ability to use Access client database
Good English & Spanish oral skills
Ability to work in fast-paced environment with diverse group of people
Ability to work under minimal supervision
Ability to organize
Interest in and commitment to the mission of the Society
