The Society of St. Vincent de Paul of Alameda County is dedicated to helping all persons in need - regardless of creed, opinion, color, caste, or origin. Your support will help us continue in our mission to help the hungry, homeless, sick, disabled, elderly, and children.
Donations
There are many ways to support the Society of St. Vincent de Paul of Alameda County’s (SVdP) work! In all cases, donations are used to further SVdP’s work in assisting needy individuals and families in Alameda County.
Here are some ways to help:
- Make an online contribution
- Send a monetary donation to: St. Vincent de Paul of Alameda County, Attn: Development Department, 9235 San Leandro Street, Oakland, CA 94603. Make sure to let us know how you heard about us!
- Drop off gently used goods or schedule a pickup
- Donate a motor vehicle
- Don’t forget to shop in our thrift stores! Every purchase helps us help others.

A few bits of information we’d like to pass on to you:
- Although some donated items are given directly to people in need, most of these goods are sold in SVdP’s thrift stores. When you decide to donate your goods, please consider whether you would want to purchase them in a thrift store!
- Financial contributions can be designated to support the program of your choice. When sending in a contribution, please mark if you would like to support the Champion Guidance Center, Food Locker, Free Dining Room, Visitation Center or Where Most Needed.
