Our Finances
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul of Alameda County is an independent 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
SVdP is governed by a Board of Directors with individual committees that monitor key operations, including a Finance & Audit Committee. SVdP’s finances are audited annually by an independent accounting firm, RINA Accountancy Corporation.
SVdP’s $7 million operating budget includes more than $2 million in donated food. The organization is primarily dependent on individual donations and receives almost no government funding. Our primary income is through the Social Enterprises division – retail stores, auto donation program and the sale of recyclable materials – and a mix of foundation, corporate and individual donors.
For information on SVdP finances, see SVdP's Annual Report. Or, take a look at our Form 990, the IRS information form filed annually by public charities on Guidestar.
