Food Locker

Foodlocker

The SVdP Food Locker is the second-largest food bank in Alameda County. Operating from a 10,500 square-foot warehouse in East Oakland, the Food Locker distributes groceries and food staples around the county. Several Vincentian Conferences maintain food banks and distribute groceries to the need in their neighborhoods. Other non-profit organizations such as group homes, low-income schools and churches rely on the Food Locker for groceries to feed their clients.

Last year, the food Locker distributed more than $620,000 of food items throughout the county.

The Food Locker is supported by several volunteers, individuals and groups, who help maintain inventory and pack food boxes.
