The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is represented within the Catholic parish community throughout Alameda County by individual parish Conferences. Members of these parish groups, known as Vincentians, serve the needy in their neighborhoods. Vincentians collect and distribute funds locally, visit the poor and needy with clothing and furniture, maintain food pantries and distribute groceries, and take calls for emergency assistance and resource referrals.
Conference members follow the tradition that “no work of charity is foreign to the St. Vincent de Paul Society.”
For information on a conference in your area, contact the SVdP Director of Conferences and Vincentian Life at 510/568-6123.
