Services
No work of charity is foreign to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping those in need. We offer tangible assistance through person-to-person contact and spiritual services through prayer. We are located throughout Alameda County and provide various services detailed in the accompanying pages.
Visitation Center
Our newly renovated Visitation Center is a daytime drop-in center for homeless and low-income women and their children. Last year, the Visitation Center received 23,000 visits from women and children in need of assistance. Open weekdays, the Center provides a variety of services such as free laundry and shower facilities; distribution of clothing, diapers and formula for infants, counseling, child abuse prevention, access to computers, ESL and other educational classes, and resources and referrals.
