Thrift Store Shopping
St. Vincent de Paul of Alameda County operates four thrift stores in Oakland, Fremont, Livermore and Alameda. We collect donations of gently used clothing, furniture, books, toys and household items, which are sold in our stores. Revenue generated by the stores is used to support SVdP’s direct services programs, providing an array of services for thousands of people in need.
When you shop at our stores, you help us to help others! Every purchase helps to sustain SVdP’s work in alleviating human suffering and meeting the needs of homeless, elderly, sick, and economically disadvantaged individuals and families. Moreover, thrift store shopping support the environment by extending the useful life of items and diverting products from entering the waste stream.
Items in our stores frequently include clothing, shoes, accessories, books, CD’s, stuffed animals, toys, linens, bric-a-brac, glassware, candles, decorative items and used furniture. Our stores also feature a wide selection of new furniture at discount prices, including couches, dressers, dinette sets, occasional tables, and mattresses.
Please come and browse through our stores. Whether you are looking for a good book to read or buried treasures, it can all be found at St. Vincent de Paul!
