WasteNot, a Social Enterprise of SVdP, offers consumers free, secure recycling of a wide variety of outdated electronics. The enterprise also employs individuals who are struggling to gain employment. n 2009, we will divert more than 200 tons of electronics from local landfills.
Collection sites and events throughout Alameda County accept televisions and monitors, computers and laptops, scanners and printers, cell phones and much more. Data on devices is securely destroyed by a local recycler.
Consumers can drop off electronics at the SVdP Thrift Stores or check the online calendar for a list of collection events throughout Alameda County. For information on bulk pickup, call the SVdP donationline at 510/638-7600.
