Come for Help, Leave with Love
St. Vincent de Paul of Alameda is one of the largest Emergency shelters in the county, open 365 days a year. Our staff and volunteers in our shelter, Free Dining Room and Community Center are dedicated to providing warm meals and supplementary programs for our unhoused, food insecure, housing insecure, and impoverished neighbors in Oakland.

What's Happening Now |
"St. Vincent de Paul helped me with my kids and with the domestic violence that I had been dealing with. They helped me get information on organizations to help me get to a safe house.
I don’t know what would’ve happened to me and my children without St. Vincent." |
St. Vincent de Paul provides those in need with hot meals, job training assistance, and respite from life on the street. |
We continue to offer hot, nutritious take-away meals and services (e.g., laundry, clothing, showers) through our drop-in centers. Our job training program is still up and running.
